The SEK Colombia International School became part of the SEK International Institution in April 2018. Until this moment, the Trinidad del Monte School was founded in Bogotá on May 1, 1908. It was located in San Diego where today the church of the same name. This headquarters was given in bailment by General Rafael Reyes, then President of the Republic.

In 1912 the nuns acquired the land of La Magdalena, a farm in a quiet place away from the city center next to the Arzobispo River.

With the growth of the city, in 1959 the headquarters were moved to the Barrio Niza and it remained there until 2001 when it moved to the current headquarters in the Municipality of Chia, Vereda Yerbabuena.

With the incorporation of the SEK International Institution, the school takes a fundamental and international impulse, being a unique alternative in the surroundings.
